Take any audio — a saved recording or an uploaded file — and restyle it into a new genre using our AI engine.
Cover a Song is the "turn this existing track into a new style" feature. Pick any audio — a recording from your library, or a song file from Files / iCloud / another app — and Our AI engine restyles it into whatever genre you choose, keeping the musical structure of the original while transforming the arrangement.
Open the Home screen. Tap the Cover a Song card (gradient with a NEW badge, between the feature cards and the quick tools). A picker sheet appears with two options.
Shows every recording you've made — hums, chord recordings, and past covers. Tap one to open its detail view and go straight to the Generate Music section. Any recording can be covered, not just melody ones.
Opens iOS's Files picker. You can pick audio from iCloud Drive, on-device Files, Voice Memos shared to Files, or anywhere else iOS exposes. Supported formats: MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, AIFF. File size up to 50 MB.
The file is copied into your Library as a new recording (tagged as an upload), so you can always come back to it later and generate additional variations without re-uploading.
The Generate Music section on a recording's detail view has the same controls as Hum to Song, minus the lyrics editor — covers restyle an existing audio, so there's nothing to write lyrics for. You pick:
Tap Generate and Our AI engine covers your audio. 30–90 seconds later the result appears in the Saved Tracks list for that recording.
Every generation adds a new track to the recording's Saved Tracks. Try the same upload in three different genres — "this as jazz", "this as metal", "this as lo-fi" — and compare the results. Each is saved with its own MP3 + ID3 tags + cover art, ready to share.
Covers share the same 10-per-day budget as Hum to Song. The counter appears under the Generate button.
