Managing and organizing your recordings

How to search, tag, and organize your recording library.

As your library grows, Larka gives you tools to keep things organized and easy to find.

Searching

Use the search bar at the top of the Recordings screen to instantly filter by title, detected key, or tag. Results update as you type — handy when you have a large library and remember something specific about the recording.

Tags

You can add tags to any recording from its detail screen. Tags are free-form — use whatever makes sense to you:

  • ·Genre: "rock", "folk", "jazz"
  • ·Theme: "verse idea", "chorus", "bridge"
  • ·Status: "needs lyrics", "ready to produce"
  • ·Project: "album 1", "EP ideas"

Once tagged, tap any tag pill in the All Recordings screen to filter by it instantly.

Renaming, sharing & deleting

In the Library (switch the toggle to Recordings), each recording has a ⋯ menu to rename, share, or delete it. You can also long-press a recording in the Record tab to delete it.

Deleting asks you to confirm first, and if you made songs from that recording, Larka tells you they'll be removed too (and cleans up their files). This can't be undone.

Date grouping

Recordings are automatically grouped into Today, This Week, and Older so you always know how fresh an idea is.
