Your first recording

How to record your first idea and understand the analysis results.

Recording in Larka is designed to be instant — no setup, no settings. Tap Record, play, stop. That's it.

Step by step

  1. Tap the Record tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the large record button. Larka starts capturing audio immediately.
  3. Play your guitar, piano, sing a melody — anything.
  4. Tap the button again to stop. Larka immediately analyzes what it heard.
  5. You'll see the detected key, scale, BPM, and chord progression.

Understanding the results

Key & Scale — the tonal center of what you played (e.g. "A Minor", "C Major"). This tells you which notes and chords naturally belong to your idea.

BPM — the tempo detected from rhythmic patterns in your recording. If you were using the metronome, that BPM is used instead.

Chord progression — a timeline of every chord Larka heard, with timestamps. Tap any chord to hear it played back.

Tips

  • ·Play in a quiet space for the most accurate chord detection.
  • ·The longer you play, the more accurate the key and BPM detection.
  • ·If you give the recording a title, Larka saves it under that name. Otherwise it auto-names it with the detected key.
